Jeritilley A picture is worth a thousand words..

Photo of the Day Thursday 14th June – Not the Quality Spa Resort Hotel

Thought for the day….” They say that politicians are like bananas,  they hang around in bunches, start green and all end up rotten”.

How true that is, and judging by the mess that is developing in Europe and around the euro, then there are a lot that should be thrown out.   And the worst part is that it is getting worse, not better, and with no end in sight.  Hard times for everyone now.

Today’s photo is another one from New Zealand, and the South Alps again.    The photo shows the Southern Alps from the Canterbury plains, and also the railway line that travels from Christchurch to Greymouth, one of the few lines on the South Island that still has a daily passenger train.   The road trip from Christchurch to Greymouth is equally scenic, and for much of the way follows the same route.   The photo was taken at one of the railway crossings looking west.

Happy not to be working at the Quality Spa Resort Hotel in Norefjell, and not missing the managers at all.
