Photo of the Day Wednesday 1st August 2012 – Not the Quality Spa Resort Hotel, Norefjell.
Thought for the day….” Human beings are the only creatures on earth that allow their children to come back home. ”
New Zealand again for the photo today, and the town of Wanaka. Originally called Pembroke, it is now a busy tourist town, with a winter skiing/snowboarding season and a summer holiday season. The lake extends for about 50km, and flows out down the Clutha River. Wanaka is becoming famous for big events, with the annual Wanaka Challenge (triathlon) and the biannual Warbirds Over Wanaka airshow. And it is on the doorstep of the Mount Aspiring National Park as well. Around 7000 people live in the town, although the summer population is much higher.
Happy not to be working at the Quality Spa Resort Hotel in Norefjell.
