Jeritilley A picture is worth a thousand words..

Photo of the Day Saturday 11th August 2012 – Not the Quality Spa Resort Hotel in Norefjell

Thought for the day…” ” There is no use of running fast when you are on the wrong road.”

Another exciting trip is coming up, so I am busy reading the magazines and books, and trying to learn as much as I can before departure.   All very exciting, and as usual, there will be a LOT of photos.   I usually say that I can judge a country by how many photos I take, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Off to Peru for the photo today, and another people shot from one of the markets.  I rather like this shot because of the young and old connection in it.  Around 29.5 million people live in Peru, with Spanish and Quechua being the main languages.  Apparently, the potato and also the avacado originated here.  Also originally from Peru is the Weeping Willow tree, which produces a base for aspirin.  Peru is also the country where the Amazon starts.   Apparently, maca, which is a root found in Peru, is used as a base for Viagra.   All very interesting !!!

Happy not to be working at the Quality Spa Resort Hotel in Norefjell, and not missing the managers there at all.
