Thought for the day…” What if every day was the start of a new year? I will let you in on a secret….it is”
“The two most important days in your life… the day you are born and the day you find out why’ (Mark Twain)
” If you’re still looking for that one person who can change your life, take a look in the mirror.”
Did you know that no pieced of paper can be folder in half more than 7 times. Or that the wingspan of a 747 is longer than the Wright brother’s first flight? Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called the rush hour? Can Atheists get insurance for acts of God? Is it possible to have deja vu and amnesia at the same time? If all the world is a stage, then where does the audience sit? ?
A nice view of the old city of Dubrovnik, Croatia today on the Adriatic Coast. Dubrovnik has a population of about 42 000 people, although in summer it is swamped by tourists, especially from the many cruise ships that stop there. Previously called Ragusa, it has been fought over many times, including in 1991 in the Serbian-Montenegro war. The siege in 1991 lasted 7 months, with much of the old town suffering damage from shelling. The famous city wall (length about 2km) encircles the city and provides great views of the narrow streets below.
