Jeritilley A picture is worth a thousand words..

Photo of the Day Sunday 10th February 2013 – Not the Quality Spa Resort Hotel, Norefjell.

Thought for the day…..” Wise people think all that they say, fools say everything that they think”

“The sooner that you fall behind, the more time that you will have to catch up”

A view of Lake Wanaka, New Zealand here today.  Got me thinking about water.  71% of the earth’s surface is covered by it.   96.5 of all water is found in oceans, with only 2.5% of all water being freshwater.   About 70% of the freshwater used by humans goes on agriculture.  On the top of Mt. Everest, water boils at 68 degrees centigrade.  The human body is between 55% and 78% water, depending on size.  Lake Wanaka was quite low when this photo was taken,  although in some years after heavy snowmelt and rains, it has been know to flood the town.
