Photo of the Day Thursday 21st February 2013 – Not the Quality Spa Resort Hotel, Norefjell.
Thought for the day….” What we see depends on what we look for ”
“Great men are rarely isolated mountain peaks, they are the summits of ranges”
“Time is the coin of life, only you can decide how you spend it”.
Another Ethiopia photo here, and from the capital Addis Ababa. The name means ‘new flower’. The city has a population of about 3.5 million people. Not as hot as you might expect for an African capital, as the city lies at 2300m. Africa currently has around 1.1 billion people, with Nigeria topping the list of population growth in Africa. The African country of Niger tops the fertility lists, with (2012) women having 7.1 children per woman. The largest African cities are Cairo, Egypt, with around 11 million people, and Lagos, with around 10 million. The highest point in Africa is Mount Kilimanjaro, which reaches 5895m. Sudan has twice as many (223) pyramids as Egypt.
