Photo of the Day Tuesday 12th March 2013 – Not the Quality Spa Resort Hotel, Norefjell
Thought for the day…” Why are they called apartments when they are all joined together?”
“Experience is a wonderful thing, it allows you to recognize a mistake when you make it again”.
The cockpit of one of the 5 Lockheed C130 Hercules aircraft belonging to the Royal New Zealand Air Force is the photo today. These aircraft were first delivered in 1965, but are now being refurbished to keep them in service until about 2020. Although originally a 1950s design, it is still in service with many armed forces around the world. Over 2300 have been built. It still holds the record for the largest aircraft to land on an aicraft carrier (1963). The maximum speed is 592 km/h, and when fully loaded, uses about 1100m of runway to take off.
