Jeritilley A picture is worth a thousand words..

African market colour – Not the Quality Spa Resort Hotel, Norefjell.

Thought for the day…” We wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment.”

”  Aircraft travel is nature’s way of making you look like your passport photo”

Switzerland has an excellent system whereby voters can call (and indeed, do call) for public referendums on any major issue.   Five have already been held this year, with 4 more to come.  Any Swiss voter can start a referendum by collecting 50 000 signatures.   Even national laws can be challenged in this way, an idea that should apply in many countries, not just Switzerland.  The Swiss have also started a competition to find a new national anthem, with the winning entry receiving a price of 10 000 SFr.   Interesting, until  1891 the Swiss national anthem was sung to the same tune as the British national anthem.  The current Swiss anthem is now seen as old fashioned, hence the search for a new one.

A long way from Switzerland for the photo today, and to an African market.   Sometimes it is very good to fill the frame with colour and interest, and this shot is jam-packed both.  As usual, it was taken with an ordinary Panasonc camera.
