If you are bored at this time of year then you may like to join an online dating site. But not any old online dating site. How about ” Dead-meet.com”?? This is THE site for people working with death, such as embalmers, morticians, coroners etc. to meet like-minded partners who will understand the stress and trials of working with death. So at the end of a long day, you can return home and discuss all the decomposition of the day with a partner who will likely be able to describe their day of death as well. http://www.dead-meet.com if you want to check it out.
Less boring, and showing plenty of signs of life is the photo today of a ferry passenger. The white paint on the ferry acted as a natural reflector, illuminating her face perfectly.

Another photo from the archives, and from Malawi, Africa. Malawi was previously known as Nyasaland, and has a population of about 15 million. Agriculture is the main industry, with about 85% of the population living in rural areas. Tobacco, sugarcane and tea and cotton are the main crops. The highest point is 2438m. Even though the country is landlocked, it does have a navy!! Today’s photo shows why you should always keep the camera ready.

Did you see in the news that the French government has now overturned a ban that stopped women from wearing trousers in Paris? Apparently, it had been illegal for 200 years (from 17th November 1800), and was originally to stop women from doing certain jobs.
Nice portrait photo here today, although not a very high-tech. cycle !!

Off to the wonderful Portuguese island of Madeira for the photo today. Out one Sunday morning in the capital, Funchal, and saw this cycle race. This photo says power and determination and is a great action shot. Taken from low down, it gives a good impression of the race. About 110 000 people live in Funchal, whichis about 500km west of the African coast. Great place for a holiday, due to the mild, year round climate.
Happy not to be working at the Quality Spa Resort in Norefjell.
